We may ask you to take some photos so that we can monitor your treatment or assess any emergencies and triage them appropriately. We are doing this to ensure that we are able to give you the correct advice and limit unnecessary referrals to the Covid Urgent Dental Care Centres where possible.
Please see the best way to take the photos below. You need to take 5 photos in total:
What you will need:
Two tablespoons and two teaspoons
A camera (iPhone/Android phone is fine)
Insert the two large spoons with the curved side towards the teeth
Bite down together and try and do a really cheesy smile
Take photo 1
Replace the big spoons in your right hand with one of the small spoons
Turn your head to the left and stretch the small spoon as far back towards the right ear. Relax the left hand slightly so you can pull back as much as possible Keep that cheesy smile.
Take photo 2 (side shot) of the right side with as much of the back teeth as possible.
Swap the spoons so now the small spoon is on the left and big on the right. Turn your head to the right and stretch the spoon as far back towards the left ear. Keep that cheesy smile. Relax the right hand slightly so you can pull back as much as possible
Take photo 3 (side shot) of the left side with as much of the back teeth as possible
Take two small spoons and place them at the corners of your mouth at the bottom
Tilt your head down until your chin touches your chest. Open as wide as possible
Take photo 4 as much of the bottom teeth as possible
Place the two small spoons now at the corner of your mouth but this time at the top.
Tilt your head up as much as possible, maybe rest it against the top of a chair or sofa. Open as wide as possible
Take photo 5 of as much of the top teeth as possible
Now upload those to the box below, make sure your details are correct and press submit!
